Hull City manager Phil Brown has called out for premiership players to return from the Africa Cup of Nations after the Togo team bus came under gunfire on Friday.

Two of the Togo players were shot and hurt while the teams coach driver was killed. Hull City have players Daniel Cousin and Seyi Olofinjana out there and there are more than 30 other Premier League stars like Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Man City’s Adebayor at the tournament.

Phil Brown told The Sun: “I have two players on duty and I want them home.”

Following up on our previous article on the 2018 edition, Soccermouth.com also adds that eleven bids have been received for the 2022 World Cup.

The eleven bids have come from :-

Qatar and South Korea were the only nations to exclusively submit their bids for the 2022 event. The other nine bids were for both editions of the tournament.

The next stage for selection of the winner takes place in December this year. The winner will eventually be chosen in December next year by a high powered 24 member FIFA committee.
