Vennegoor of Hesselink wants new Celtic deal

Celtic’s Dutch striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has express his desire to stay with the Hoops next season.

Hesselink joined Gordon Strachan’s side in 2006 from PSV Eindhoven for £3.4m, and is out of contract at the end of this season.

Hesselink ended a recent goal scoring drought by finding the back of the net against both Hamilton Academical and Falkirk, and Celtic boss Strachan has said that he would like to have the Dutchman in his side next season.
