Champions League chasing Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of striker Louis Saha from Everton. The former Fulham and Manchester United forward has joined the Lilywhites on an eighteen month deal. Spurs also announced that South African captain Steven Pienaar would move in the opposite direction to Goodison Park on loan till the end of the season.
Saha’s transfer was a bit of a shock one on transfer deadline day as the striker has passed his prime in the eyes of many. However Redknapp insisted that the Frenchman, who scored the fastest FA Cup final goal in 2009, had plenty to offer to the goal.

Everton have agreed to take US striker Edson Buddle on trial. Buddle, 30, is currently with German outfit Ingolstadt and has been in fine form for them in the current season. Buddle’s agent Richard Motzkin announced the news regarding Buddle’s trial on social networking site Twitter.
At Everton, Buddle will link up with USMNT team mates Landon Donovan and Tim Howard. Buddle has plenty of experience of playing in the MLS and counts New York Red Bulls, Toronto, Colombus Crew and LA Galaxy among his former clubs.
Buddle also featured for the United States in the 2010 FIFA World Cup and was a substitute in their games against both England and Algeria.
