Champions League chasing Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of striker Louis Saha from Everton. The former Fulham and Manchester United forward has joined the Lilywhites on an eighteen month deal. Spurs also announced that South African captain Steven Pienaar would move in the opposite direction to Goodison Park on loan till the end of the season.

Saha’s transfer was a bit of a shock one on transfer deadline day as the striker has passed his prime in the eyes of many. However Redknapp insisted that the Frenchman, who scored the fastest FA Cup final goal in 2009, had plenty to offer to the goal.

West Bromwich Albion are interested in FC Twente’s winger Emir Bajrami and are keen to get the Swedish international to sign on the dotted line before the end of the January transfer window. Baggies boss Roy Hodgson turned his attention to Bajrami after cooling his interest in Zenit St.Petersburg’s Hungarian star Szabolcs Huszti.

Bajrami, who arrived at Twente from Elfsborg in his native Sweden in 2010, has grown into his own following the sale of Bryan Ruiz to Fulham. The 23 year old has already scored four times and new manager Steve McClaren, who started him in his first two games in charge, seems to consider him as part of his long term plans.

West Brom are currently 15th in the Premier League.

Redknapp- Kranjcar not for sale

Harry Redknapp has sent a warning out to all interested clubs that Croatian playmaker Niko Kranjcar is not for sale. Kranjcar has struggled to make the Spurs starting XI in recent times despite recovering from injury, with the Lilywhites blessed with the likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Aaron Lennon and Scott Parker in the centre of the park.

QPR and Fulham were both said to be interested in giving Kranjcar an escape route out of White Hart Lane, with CSKA Moscow also said to be keeping tabs on the situation. However Redknapp has said that Kranjcar is not for sale this January, adding that the player was too important for him.

It remains to be seen whether the Spurs gaffer thinks the same of South African international Steven Pienaar, for whom QPR have made a 3.5m pound bid.

Redknapp eyes Dembele to boost Spurs attack

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is weighing up a move for Fulham attacker Moussa Dembele as he seeks to bolster the Lilywhites’ forward line. According to reports, Dembele is valued at £10m and was recently signaled out by fellow Belgian and Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany as one of the most underrated players in the league.

Spurs are ideally said to prefer a part exchange deal that will see them pay some cash and see Niko Kranjcar move to Craven Cottage. However the Croatian medio’s wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block in the deal.

Dembele hasn’t scored plenty of goals for Fulham but has won plenty of plaudits for his hard work.
