Madrid ready to take massive hit on Kaka
Real Madrid are ready to write off more than £30m in losses on Brazilian midfielder Kaka after manager Jose Mourinho indicated his willingness to allow the playmaker forward to leave in the forthcoming January transfer window. Kaka joined Real from AC Milan for a whopping £55m in 2009 but hasn’t quite had the same impact as fellow marquee signing Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.
Injuries have not helped the mercurial forward’s cause and Mourinho is reportedly ready to allow him to go because he has plenty of cover in midfield.
Kaka’s reported £20m + asking price will interest several known admirers, with Chelsea, French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain and his former club AC Milan leading the race to offer him an exit route from the Bernabeu.

Football Transfer News
As expected, Manchester City have initiated all the moves in this transfer window. Some have come up trumps while other have turned sour. One coup to turn sour was of Brazilian superstar Kaka. Manchester City were forced to pull out of a 100 million Kaka swoop as they were not happy with the terms and clauses laid down by the player’s representatives. But they have managed to sign Welsh international Craig Bellamy from West Ham United for an undisclosed fee.
Bellamy’s move to Manchester is a result of a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between Hughes and Redknapp. This ‘agreement’ saw City end their pursuit of Winston Palacious. The Honduran midfielder is now heavily tipped to join Tottenham Hotspur from Wigan.
Hull City have moved quickly and signed a couple of established Premier League players. Hull have been struggling lately and the addition of Kevin Kilbane from Everton and Luis Boa Morte from West Ham will strengthen their squad as they aim to stay clear of the relegation mire.
Bottom team West Brom have acted quickly and have added Marc-Antoine Fortune and Jay Simpson to their squad. Both players are on loan till the end of the season. James Beattie has started another new innings in the Premier League after signing for Stoke City.
Meanwhile, the future of Didier Drogba is a subject of intense speculation as he was left out of Chelsea’s squad for the game against Stoke. Also, Liverpool are sweating it out to keep priced asset Daniel Agger at the club amidst interest from AC Milan. A host of other clubs are also very keen on Liverpool’s Jermaine Pennant.
With just 10 days to go, transfers are hotting up nicely
